Prior to joining the MPO, what did it represent to you?

Malta’s own orchestra has always been the nation’s most important musical institution. It’s the organisation that every musician or music lover looks up to. Similar to the country’s history, the orchestra has grown to make its people proud.

Can you delineate your role within the orchestra?

Media Coordinator – producing informative slots for audio-visual media, creating and producing features and adverts for educational and promotional purposes, assisting television direction for filmed concerts and archiving content.

What do you cherish most from the MPO’s concerts?

While admiring the commitment of the musicians to produce high-level concerts, I am most appreciative of the ever-growing local audience following the MPO. On the other hand, the acclaim received by our orchestra in prestigious halls abroad is an achievement to be proud of.

How would you describe music?

Music is a way of expressing human emotion through melody, rhythm and harmony. It may arouse emotions just like other forms of arts.

Sometimes it’s the easiest way to help escape the stress and pain of life.
