Heir to the most genuine romantic bel canto, Celso Albelo is currently one of the most sought after tenors by the main theaters in the world.

His international career has taken him to the most prestigious opera houses in the world, from the New York Metropolitan to La Scala in Milan, as well as the Vienna Staatsoper, Berlin Deutsche Oper, Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, the Royal Opera House in London, Opéra in Monte-Carlo, Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro Real in Madrid, Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Fenice in Venice, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Victorian Opera in Melbourne (Australia), the Paris Opéra National among many others.

In his repertoire he has more than 30 characters, mainly by Donizetti, Bellini and Verdi, and his international career has led him to debut in the most important theaters in the world.

In 2013 he was decorated with the Canary Island Golden Medal by the Island Government, in 2016 Favourite Son by the La Laguna Council (Canary Islands).

He has given recitals and concerts in the most prestigious auditoria and has collaborated with conductors such as Antonio Pappano, Zubin Mehta, Daniel Harding, Daniel Oren, Gianluigi Gelmetti, Alberto Zedda, Nello Santi, Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, Carlo Rizzi, Evelino Pidò and Riccardo Frizza.
