Sounds of the Mediterranean
TIME: 8:30 PM till 9:30 PM
presented by the APS Summer Festival Kurt Falzon Violin Programme Edvard Grieg Praeludium from Holberg Suite, Op. 40 The MPO closes this year’s edition of the APS Summer Festival, joining artists Gabriel Lia and Matthias Camilleri. Under the baton of Alan Chircop, the chamber ensemble performs a classic concert depicting the Mediterranean and echoing the sounds of this varied, culturally diverse region. Works from composers of different periods feature in a journey of discovery and dream as literary interludes provide a moment of reflection, juxtaposing the mystical nuances of the circus acts on a Chinese pole.
