presented by Valletta Cultural Agency HANNA HUSÁHR Soprano Programme: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Maurerische Trauermusik in C minor, K. 477 (K. 479a) The MPO performs in this choral masterpiece composed in late 1791, yet unfinished at the time of his death. A completed version of the work by Franz Xaver Süssmayr was commissioned by Count Franz von Walsegg in 1792 to commemorate the anniversary of his wife’s death. The programme also features Mozart’s “Masonic funeral music”, a short yet poignant work considered rarely performed due to the uniqueness of its original orchestration. Health Protocols:
