The MPO Trio was scheduled to perform at Carnegie Hall on April 7, 2020, a concert cancelled due to COVID-19. Featuring soprano Gillian Zammit, harpist Britt Arend and cellist Frank Camilleri, the ensemble was presenting a varied programme of works by Tosti, Strauss, Villa Lobos together with a work by Maltese composer Alex Vella Gregory.
The project Cantilena entailed also the recording of a CD, issued by PARMA Recordings, set for release on June 26, 2020. Enjoy a mini-documentary about the ensemble’s recording sessions in Zagreb last October.
