Yaroslav Miklukho started studying violoncello in his native Ukraine. After obtaining a Master’s degree from the Kiev State Conservatory (Ukraine) in 1996, Yaroslav participated in concert tours with various orchestras which have taken him around Europe, Africa, China, Russia, Germany and United States of America.

Yaroslav has performed as soloist with the Ukrainian State Wind Orchestra, recently performing Casanova by J. de Meij, and Concerto for cello solo and wind orchestra by F. Gulda in Kiev (Ukraine), as well as with chamber music ensembles around Europe.

Since 2004 he has been sub-leader of the cello section of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, and since 2011 he has also been visiting cello tutor at the University of Malta.
