Violin

Vincenzo started playing violin at the age of six with Nicola Lipari. He graduated with honours at the Conservatory of Palermo, with Antonello Mameli. He continued his studies with Stefano Pagliani, Beatrice Antonioni and Oleksandre Semchuk. In 2006 Picone won the first prize Jacopo Napoli in Cava de’ Tirreni (Salerno), in 2007 the national competition B.Albanese and the national competition AMA Calabria.

In 2008 Picone become a member of the Luigi Cherubini Orchestra with principal conductor Riccardo Muti. In 2011 he collaborated with Orchestra Haydn of Bolzano and the theatre of Reggio Calabria. In 2012 Picone won a position with the orchestra Sinaloa de las Artes in Culiacàn.

Since 2012 he has been a member of the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra.
