Maria Conrad obtained Licentiate Diplomas in piano and violin before graduating in Music and German from the University of Malta. She then furthered her postgraduate violin studies at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
She has worked and performed in over 30 countries with various international orchestras, and collaborates regularly with different chamber formations. She released a CD of chamber works in 2019 together with Argotti Ensemble, featuring premieres by Maltese composers amongst others.
Maria has collaborated with the MPO for over twenty years. She is also Malta’s Representative for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, Artistic Coordinator and tutor for strings with the Malta Youth Orchestra, as well as National Associate Partner for the EUYO.
