Lampros-Ioannis Lapinas was born in Athens in 1992 and studied Bassoon, Piano and Music Theory at the Music Gymnasium of Alimos. He obtained his Bassoon Diploma under Miltiades Oikonomou and his Harmony and Counterpoint Diploma at the International Conservatory of Athens in 2014. In 2016, he was accepted at the Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt in Weimar, for his Master’s degree in Bassoon Performance under Professor Frank Forst.

Lampros has collaborated with several orchestras including, the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra, the Orchestra of the HfM Weimar (under Sebastian Weigle), the Symphonic Orchestra of the Municipality of Athens, the Radio Symphony of Greece and the Athens State Symphony Orchestra.

Lampros joined the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra in 2017 as Sub-Principal Bassoon.
