Daniel started taking up cello lessons at around the age of 8 with Rahia Awalom and later in 2013 with Akos Kertesz, who presently, is still his tutor. In 2017, Daniel joined the Mata Youth Orchestra, and has taken part in concerts and an orchestra exchange with the Jugendorchester Stattegg.
In the summer of 2019, he joined the Stoneleigh Youth Orchestra on a concert tour in Spain, performing under conductor Robert Hodge and pianist Andrew Zolinsky. He regularly takes part in chamber music projects as part of a string quartet with fellow MYO musicians.
Daniel has taken part in various masterclasses since joining the Malta Youth Orchestra, namely with Peter Schoning, Alexander Knyazev and Kristina Blaumane. In 2020, he won a place to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
