PR & Communications Officer
Prior to joining the MPO, what did it represent for you?
From a young age, I was passionate towards the arts. Music, including the classical genre, played a crucial part in this.
The MPO was the local connection to my fascination and concerts added to the thrill of practicing classical singing. As I grew, so did my interest and till this day, music is an essential part of my life.
Can you delineate your role within the orchestra?
Being part of the marketing team, my role entails helping towards the various processes which bring the MPO closer to its audiences. What is great is that such involves everything from the essential administrative and research steps, to social media and innovation. Eclectic, energetic and engaging!
What do you cherish most from the MPO’s concerts?
One can appreciate, in absolute awe, the unity conveyed by the orchestra performing – from the impetus of the conductor to the communication between musicians. This is an energy which resonates even before the concert – in the people who work hard to share the MPO’s magic with the public.
True connectivity in the name of music!
How would you describe music?
My meditation and a reflection of life – a constant in seas of change and that which grows with you, knows you and is a constant companion.
It is an international connection as it surpasses colour, race, gender and time. Just imagine a life without music.
