Prior to joining the MPO, what did it represent to you? 

Both my husband and his late father were musicians with the orchestra for a long span throughout their respective careers. This has led me to appreciate not just the music but also the life of the musician away from the concert hall, with all its ups and downs.   

Can you delineate your role within the orchestra? 

I am involved in the Development section within the Marketing Department, while also assisting to the educational initiatives of the orchestra. 

What do you cherish most from the MPO’s concerts? 

Each concert is a collective effort from all departments. Although only the musicians are on stage, and they carry the bigger responsibility, all personnel kickstart their preparations months in advance, contributing through their relevant expertise.

How would you describe music? 

Music is the universal language. Through music one can connect across  linguistic and cultural frontiers in ways that you cannot do with ordinary languages.
