Prior to joining the MPO, what did it represent to you?
The MPO was the first musical entity through which I experienced live classical music. It was my source of fascination and admiration, which nurtured my love for music, leading to the furthering of my studies abroad, and to my continued mission to pass that love once instilled in me, to others.
Can you delineate your role within the orchestra?
As part of the events and marketing team, it is fundamental to be a team player and be flexible to the needs of the various projects at hand. As the Events Officer, I aim to make the processes involved with the events at hand as smooth and organized as possible.
What do you cherish most from the MPO’s concerts?
Each performance is an invitation to introspection. I think that every time notes written on paper are brought to life, they also somehow alter the lives and thoughts of all those that experience it.
How would you describe music?
Music is the quintessence of life itself. It is scientific, creative, organised, chaotic, emotional and logical. It is a social activity, but also a solitary one. Music is permanent impermanence. Once the sound is played, it is gone, but its essence remains lodged in our hearts forever. The most perfect paradox.
