The MPO opens its secpmd concert in the festival with Puccini’s orchestral work written as the composer was finishing his studies at the Milan Conservatory. In the three of the Court Dances from Malta, Camilleri offers an insight into the Maltese heritage. 

Soloist Vadym Kholodenko joins the MPO for Shor’s From My Bookshelf, an extensive opus inspired by a number of literary works prior to the final concluding orchestral work by Joseph Vella.
