The upcoming episode of Orchestra Resounds features the MPO interpreting film classics together with leading Italian bandoneon player Mario Stefano Pietrodarchi. 

Conocchiella’s work fuses themes from Cinema Paradiso, The Mission and Once Upon a Time in the West written by one of the most prolific film composers of the 21st century, Ennio Morricone.  

Omaggio a Federico Fellini showcases an arrangement of music composed by Nino Rota for three of the director’s movies, La Dolce Vita, Amarcord and 8 ½. 

Winner of the Academy award for Best Music and Original Dramatic Score La Vita è Bella features a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack by Nicola Piovani.
