presented by the Valletta Baroque Festival PHILIP WALSH Conductor Programme: Johann Sebastian Bach/Arnold Schoenberg Prelude & Fugue in Eb Major, BMV 552 Philip Walsh directs the MPO at the Valletta Baroque Festival, a concert featuring an eclectic selection of 20th century and contemporary music inspired by the Baroque era. The programme includes orchestral arrangements of Bach’s solo works, Prelude and Fugue in E-flat arranged by Schoenberg, Komm süsser Tod and Passacaglia and Fugue in C Minor, by Stokowski. Peter Warlock’s Capriol Suite, Ravel’s Le Tombeau de Couperin and Maltese composer Ruben Zahra’s premiere Androgynous Tears, evoke elements of Baroque dances and madrigals. Health Protocols:
