TIME: 7:00 PM till 7:15 PM
NICOLA SAID Soprano Giacomo Puccini Finale Atto I from La Bohème The MPO presents a staged interpretation of one of the most poignant moments from one of the most performed operas by Puccini. Featuring the arias Che Gelida Manina, Sì, Mi Chiamano Mimì and O Soave Fanciulla, in this scene, Rodolfo and Mimì, the two main characters of the plot reveal their love for each other. Originally set in Paris in the 1830s, Denise Mulholland seeks inspiration from the Bohemian movement of the 60s to re-imagine the work within the original studio space of Maltese modernist artist Frank Portelli.
