MPO Principal Horn Etienne Cutajar performs a concert presenting a witty arrangement from Richard Strauss’ ill Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche. 

English composer Malcolm Arnold’s oeuvre includes a fantasy for each orchestral instrument, thhe French Horn work taking advantage of its compass, juxtaposing folk tunes from the British Isles with virtuoso flourishes. Laudatio, by horn player Bernhard Kroll, opens with a motif representing a spiritual question, leading the listener in an exploratory yet emotional journey. 

The recital ends with a cheerful Jazzy piece by Hungarian composer Zsolt Nagy.
